Bike repair

If the chain is dry and makes noise or too greasy and dirty, it may need to be cleaned and lubricated. I use Squirt Chain Wax, this is a wax based, long lasting dry lube that does not contain harmful solvents, is 100% biodegradable and environmentally friendly.

When your brake pads make a squeaking noise, they may be contaminated. A deep cleaning will most likely (but not always) solve this issue.

If the bike no longer brakes properly, the brake pads may be worn out.

If you have a flat inner tube or you have a worn outside tyre, I will replace it. I got 27,5" and 29" inner and outside mountainbike tyres.

If you can no longer shift / pedal properly and cannot get into the right gear, this can usually be solved by adjusting the derailleur.

When a derailleur hanger is bent it is said to be “out of alignment”. A misaligned hanger results in poor shifting.

Is your chain damaged or broken? Sometimes it can be better to repair the chain and sometimes it is better to replace it.

Do you notice that your brake pressure is occasionally less and comes back when you squeeze a few times? Then there are air bubbles in brake lines. Bleeding ensures that the air bubbles go out.
